PEEVA TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Peeva. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your (“you,” “your,” “user”) access to and use of the Peeva website, Peeva Fetch application, and all related services provided by Peeva Inc. (“Peeva,” “we,” “us,” “our”).

By accessing or using Peeva’s services—including creating an account, enrolling a pet, activating a subscription, registering a microchip, or using our Lost & Found platform—you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree, do not use Peeva services.


1. ABOUT PEEVA

Peeva provides two primary categories of services:

(A) Free Services

  • Peeva Lost & Found Pet Database
  • Public lost/found search tools
  • Ability to create a lost or found pet profile without a subscription

These free services do not include microchip registration or premium recovery services.

(B) Paid Subscription Services

These include, but are not limited to:

  • Registration in the Peeva Universal Pet Registry
  • 24/7 support and recovery assistance
  • Lost Pet Alerts (data-driven alert system)
  • Integration with veterinary partners
  • Owner updates, notifications, and EHR access features
  • All premium recovery and identification services

Paid subscription is required for a pet’s microchip to be registered, discoverable, and resolvable in the Peeva database.


2. DEFINITIONS

To avoid confusion:

“Registration”

Means your pet’s microchip identity is actively stored, maintained, and made discoverable in the Peeva Universal Pet Registry.
Registration requires an active subscription.

“Subscription / Membership / Enrollment”

Means your paid plan (annual or lifetime) that keeps registration active and enables all premium features.

“Lifetime Enrollment”

A one-time paid plan providing continued registry access and premium services for the lifetime of the pet. This plan is not free and does not imply permanent access without initial payment.

“Deactivation”

Means your pet’s registration becomes inactive, non-searchable, and non-resolvable due to non-payment or expiration.


3. SUBSCRIPTION OPTIONS

Annual Subscription

  • $54.95 per year
  • Renews annually unless you cancel
  • Keeps your registration and premium services active

Lifetime Subscription

  • One-time fee
  • Covers your pet for life
  • No annual renewals

All payments are processed securely through Stripe.


4. REGISTRATION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE SUBSCRIPTION

Peeva is a subscription-based microchip registry.

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Registration is not free.
  • Registration only remains active while your subscription is active.
  • If your subscription expires or a renewal payment fails, your pet’s Peeva registration will be deactivated.
  • A deactivated registration is not viewable, not discoverable by veterinary partners, and will not resolve in search tools.

This applies to both annual and lifetime plans.


5. NON-PAYMENT, GRACE PERIOD & DEACTIVATION

Grace Period

You will receive renewal notices before your subscription expires.
If payment is not received:

  • A 30-day grace period applies
  • You may update payment information during this time
  • Your registration remains temporarily active during the grace period

Deactivation

If no payment is received after 30 days:

  • Your pet’s registration is deactivated
  • Premium services cease
  • The microchip will not resolve to your pet’s record
  • The record is no longer accessible through Peeva’s systems

Reactivation

You may reactivate at any time by purchasing a new subscription.

Data Handling

Even after deactivation, Peeva may retain limited internal records for:

  • Fraud mitigation
  • Audit obligations
  • Data integrity
  • Legal compliance

These internal records are not active registrations and are not used for recovery or identification.


6. LOST & FOUND PLATFORM (FREE SERVICES)

Peeva provides a free public Lost & Found Pet Database:

Users may:

  • Create free lost pet posts
  • Create free found pet posts
  • Search free listings

This free platform does not include:

  • Microchip registration
  • Recovery routing
  • Lost Pet Alerts
  • 24/7 support
  • Veterinary network visibility

These require a paid subscription.


7. LOST PET ALERTS / “Peeva SOS”

Lost Pet Alerts / Peeva SOS:

  • Are part of Peeva’s paid subscription
  • Use proprietary data sources and geolocation systems that Peeva pays for
  • Are processed, validated, and sent by Peeva
  • May be limited to one alert per month to prevent misuse
  • Are non-refundable once issued

8. ACCURACY OF INFORMATION

You agree to provide accurate, complete, and current information.
You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining updated contact info
  • Keeping your pet’s information accurate
  • Ensuring your phone and email remain reachable

Updates are free while your enrollment is active.

9. NOTICES, CONSENT TO ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS, AND MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS

Electronic Communications

By creating an account, registering a pet, purchasing or activating a subscription, completing any registration, enrollment, contact, newsletter, promotional, or other form, or otherwise providing your contact information to Peeva, you expressly consent to receive electronic communications from Peeva, including by email, through your account, and by other electronic means, regarding your account, pets, subscriptions, products, services, billing, renewals, customer support, educational content, product updates, company announcements, newsletters, surveys, promotional offers, and other communications relating to Peeva, subject to your communication preferences and applicable law.


Transactional and Service Communications

As part of your subscription, Peeva will send you transactional and service-related communications necessary to provide and maintain your account. These may include:

  • Renewal notices
  • Deactivation warnings
  • Subscription and billing communications
  • Lost pet notifications
  • Other service-related messages

These communications are required to maintain your subscription and are not promotional. You cannot opt out of transactional communications while your account remains active.

Email Marketing

With your consent, Peeva may send you promotional emails. Marketing emails are optional. You may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by contacting support@peeva.co. Opting out of marketing emails does not affect transactional or service communications.

SMS/Text Message Consent

If you provide a mobile number and expressly opt in, Peeva may send you text messages, which may include transactional messages (such as renewal, billing, and lost pet notifications) and, where separately authorized, promotional messages.

  • Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any Peeva product or service.
  • Message frequency varies.
  • Message and data rates may apply.
  • You may opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. You may reply HELP for assistance.
  • Opting out of text messages may prevent you from receiving time-sensitive notifications, including lost pet alerts.

Consent to marketing text messages is separate from consent to transactional text messages, and separate from your consent to email communications.

Keeping Your Contact Information Current

You are responsible for keeping your email address and mobile number accurate and up to date so that you can receive required communications.


10. PAYMENTS, BILLING & REFUNDS

All payments are final and non-refundable.

This includes:

  • Annual subscriptions
  • Lifetime subscriptions
  • Lost Pet Alerts
  • Add-on services

Peeva will not issue refunds for partial terms or unused services.

Automatic Renewal

For annual subscribers:

  • You authorize Peeva to charge your stored payment method at renewal
  • You will receive advance notice as required by law
  • You may update or cancel your subscription at any time before renewal

Cancelling prevents future renewals but does not refund past payments.


11. USER CONDUCT & PROHIBITED USES

You agree not to:

  • Provide false or misleading information
  • Upload harmful, defamatory, or unlawful content
  • Attempt to hack, disrupt, or misuse the platform
  • Interfere with other users’ access
  • Use Peeva for fraudulent or abusive purposes

Violations may result in immediate termination.


12. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content, software, images, data, and trademarks on Peeva platforms are owned by Peeva and protected by U.S. and international laws.
You receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable license to use Peeva services.


13. SECURITY

You are responsible for:

  • Keeping your password secure
  • Monitoring account activity
  • Notifying Peeva of unauthorized access

Peeva is not responsible for damage caused by compromised accounts.


14. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

Peeva services are provided “as is” and “as available.”
We do not guarantee:

  • Error-free operation
  • Uninterrupted service
  • 100% successful pet recovery
  • Specific outcomes or performance

15. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent allowed by law:

  • Peeva’s liability is limited to the total amount you paid in the 12 months prior to the claim
  • Peeva is not responsible for indirect, incidental, punitive, or consequential damages

16. INDEMNIFICATION

You agree to indemnify Peeva against claims arising from:

  • Your misuse of the services
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Information you submit
  • Your failure to maintain updated contact or billing information

17. MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICES

Peeva may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time with or without notice.
Significant changes to these Terms will be communicated at least 30 days in advance when required by law.


18. GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTE RESOLUTION

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York.
Disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or small-claims court where applicable.
